I could have written your post 3 years ago, word for word. Struck out with the ladies every time because I was bi. Went through roughly 300 million dates before finding the one that stuck! I use X-notifier, it's great. I never have to wonder if I have a new email, it tells me right away. I have 5 emails that I need to check, and it tells me which one(s) got the email. All I need to do is click once and I get into the inbox with the new message.

I have the same problem! I never ever pay enough attention to myself. This is lame, but I've started to schedule time for me. Like, turn off my phone and just have an hour to myself. Friday nights are a "no one bother me" zone. I just have some wine and sing along to music. Lame-o, but so refreshing!

I don't have any concrete advice, but I just wanted to tell you that it's amazing how you've taken control of your life, or as much control as you can right now. Are there any state programs that might help with extra money for you? Food banks? Women's shelters/programs that you can get clothing if you need it for…

Oh my gosh how scary!! My pets are family to me, I can't imagine how awful you must be feeling. My dumb cat's favourite past time is chewing plastic...one day I'll be calling the emergency vet, I'm sure.

In my experience, I've had to just cut ties off. Not immediately but just gradually close off the friendship. Unfortunately (in my case) that was really the only way I was ever going to move on.
