There's another series based on a school for vampires, similar to this and also doing well on the best seller lists, "House of Night." I haven't read either of these, but know of House because it's based in my home town of Tulsa. It's looking to be adapted to film as well.

I blame Cartoon Network for doing away with Toonami.

So last week I tried to convince myself to adopt PSN+ and Hulu+, but upon really digging into TV over the internet, I ran into a situation that found itself parodied on last weeks Futurama! A lot of the shows our family watches are only available in clip form (on Futurama, short clips of Hypnotoad were available,

@timothymichaelclark: Luke Cage and Iron Fist were my very first thoughts too. I'd like to see Cloak and Dagger, too. Silver Sable would be easy, but of course the costume would have to change, I don't think silver spandex would translate well to the screen. :P

@Charlie Jane Anders: If something starts late it can cut off, I've had that happen, but this recording started with the opening, not commercials or the end of the previous show. I'm sure it was accidental, Cox, in my area anyway, is always getting stuff wrong. They didn't have the new Doctor Who marked as new last

I had it DVR'd, the scene in question wasn't even in...my program ended with Leela and Fry sitting on the curb and the zombies filing past. Despite supposedly set to record half an hour, the show began mid opening credits and ended early...

@AmishJohn is waiting for his groupies: All the crap that's gone down hill since the 60's is because of this. Hippies, rock music, the 70's, and cats are all a result of this one bomb. Bastards, now I have to suffer 2012 because you wanted to see if you could manipulate magnetic fields...

Damn, I'm sorry I missed this, I have some short stories up on scribd... I got my star a while back so I know this thing is possible, but I can't find how to make or find?!?!

@Batman: I used to PC game, but then it all went MMORPG that had monthly fees (I played City of Heroes for about a year, it's what actually turned me off of paying to play). Considering going internet only in my house though may re-raise my own interest in some PC games, though...

I am going to rant in order to justify a potential decision of my own and defend against the arguments of a friend who won't even read this, but I know what he would say because he's my friend. You, as a fellow poster on Kotaku, are free to read said rant and comment your opinion of support, decent, or argument as

@nick111: Very insightful, and basically what I was looking at. Our problem is flipping through 400 channels of shite with nothing on...where Hulu and Netflix you could find something on anytime, cause, well you can start what you want whenever, lol. I'd like to make sure the streaming video, they claim in HD, looks

I'm discussing this with my girlfriend...$170 for PSN+ and Hulu+ for a year is cheaper than three months cable bill, and most of the shows we watch appear to be on Hulu, so this is becoming a serious consideration.

"...but it's almost impossible to make a big-budget R-rated movie."

@HaveBlogWillTravel: That's what I've always gathered, it's an exclusivity thing. Somehow MS has convinced people to pay $50 for the privilege of paying for a service that for all intents and purposes is free elsewhere. And Netflix isn't free, you have to still pay Netflix's subscription in addition to XBL Gold.

So, can I get a versus article along the same lines for XBL? Pay $50 and get an additional $35.85 for free? That actually sounds decent...does XBL Gold offer such discounts and freebies versus full-priced silver? Or is it still just the cross-game chat, online multiplayer, and early demos you're paying for?

@bigPixel: I believe the upside is that you pay fifty bucks for a year, and each month there are new and exclusive offers, including free psn, ps1, and minis game downloads. Say you download each of those free titles, you'll probably get more content for "free" with your subscription fee versus buying all of those

@rato501: I THINK...only think mind you...that there are free games each month, and only in that month. The first month is offering Wipeout HD, so if you sign up next month, you will miss Wipeout HD unless they eventually offer it again. However, say you download Wipeout and lapse in subscription, you will lose the

Wait...LIFETIME? The women getting beat up then getting some sort of emotional closure with Patrick Dempsey LIFETIME is playing The Gate, dead guy in the wall, eyeball in the hand, tiny demon fuckheads running amok THE GATE??? I mean, I'll watch it, I love the Gate, but...Lifetime? Huh...
