The thing that makes me laugh is 'real ninjutsu'. Ninjutsu was a sub-aspect of other martial arts - Jujitsu for example. Evasion techniques, attacking from surprise, and other facets that we relate to ninjutsu was just a narrow category of a larger martial art system. The idea of ninjutsu being an actual martial

I wouldn't go that far - I don't consider Jango's reply to be a personal attack, it is more a reaffirmation of 'consensual reality'. I'm sort of in the same boat - when I deal with fictional characters, I tend to keep them confined to 'official canon' rather than going with personal preferences.

Interesting concept. She can be whatever anyone wants us to be - but only to the individual. As part of the collective however, she's who the company says she is.

Hmm. I don't know. The UFC are the owners of the fighters, manage some of the fighters, and pick all the fights, and they're doing fairly well. There might be other sponsors as well, just not video game sponsors. MMA is a 'big thing' right now, specifically because the UFC holds all the cards in how they promoted

Actually, I'll say it here: Signing up to play LoL professionally is, as far as I can tell, the same as a mixed martial artist signing up with the UFC. Sure, you're an athlete, but unlike other sports, you're not part of a division, you're 'owned' by a single company, to fight other people in that company. If you

Consider LoL professional players as in the same category as UFC fighters. You're in a contract to do MMA for the UFC. If you're shown on video doing MMA with another circuit, you can probably consider your contract with the UFC null. This is the same thing, apparently. You're an employee of LoL, and as such,

The only thing that bothers me about this, really, is the concept of 'presence'. The ship is 'warping' from place A to place B. Is it in tangible space when this happens? If yes, what happens to objects along the path? Do these objects 'warp' around the craft, as space contracts and expands?

They're not moving, so there's no shift in time. Space is warping around them, and carrying them to a location, and this is done in a manner which has nothing to do with 'speed'. Because they're not moving (in a normal sense), the time of those who are travelling, and the time of those who are observing, will be the

This is why I like Guild Wars 2. The armour's all over the spectrum, and can look really good. My sister's got a female warrior wearing head-to-toe plate, you can't even see her body through it.

Sharks, they hate. Sharks eat baby orca. Seals? Food. Hey, we don't blame cats for playing with their food. ;)

Since when? I've never heard of a single orca taking out a human in the wild - only when imprisoned and driven insane in marine parks. And even that's rare.

Now playing

Thanks to this conversation, I now have the music from Windows XP mashed-up with Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' stuck in my head. I don't know why, but I want it.

Glad to be of service. Essentially, a mercenary is useful if you can't afford two runners who are monoclassed. 'Covering your bases', effectively. If you've got the money, two normal runners are better than a single merc.

The best thing to do is, if you have a decker, the decker can 'lock on' a target, which helps drones get a bitter hit%. Teamwork is essential to getting things done in SRR. Drones are handy because they're effectively 'extra hands' which give you more actions per turn. Yes, you should also be picky about which

Glad I can help! :)

You don't need to start from scratch, just roll back to the beginning of the chapter and re-equip / re-hire. That should help some at least.

IIRC, the Ghost is cheap, and has a gas gun. H, of course, has a gas gun as well. You should too. Coyote's cheap, if you did her personal story right, and though she can't use a gas gun, she does have a shotgun, which is kind of nice. A rigger could do well as well, if you drop the cyberdeck and go with two drones

No, there's no hacking in the last room, that's true. If you have a datajack though, a nice thing to do is also take some Rigging skills, and go with drones. Two drones and the gas gun should do you well. (My wife sings the praises of having drones, it's like having two more characters on your team). You can do a

The last boss is damn hard - but what happened? The only thing I can think of is that you didn't bring a Ghost along? Or did the Ghost and H die before you got to them?

I'm sure someone, somewhere, is going to make a 'port your character in' version, like they did with DMS. It will probably take less than a week.
