I've known this person for almost twenty years, so that helps. He could have been the best man at my wedding (and would have been if the best man had failed to show up).

I do get the 'can't ship to your location' from time to time with Amazon USA (I'm in Canada), but I've a few friends in the US I'll just have it ship to, and they mail it up to me. So there's a workaround there (yay Internet!).
Here's a question - what happens if someone buys you the game in North America, and sends it down to Australia by mail? Is there anything preventing this?
If they took any of the later Final Fantasy games, removed gameplay, filled in the gaps of story between cut scenes, and just released that, you'd have a movie. It would probably sell, too.
No problem, glad I could help. :)
This should be on YouTube, and if it is, there's many programs on the web to strip the soundtrack to it. >.>
Oh, well, now he has to go back for Take 2.
Why not? It keeps some separation from her job and her 'what I do in my spare time'.
I remember playing this - both in the arcade and on the TG-16. I never got this kind of score, but I was going for speed runs, and trying to beat the game on only one life. I did well enough that friends would pay for my game. :)
As our sister site io9 points out, the portrayal of "nerds" in the movie may not be that flattering. The existing players are your tired assortment of dork stereotypes; virgins living at home, heavy metal fans, socially challenged, aghast at the notion of someone drinking during a game (when I can't remember the last…
"Lower speeds and more lag"
o/~ My Twitter brings all the racists to the yard, and they're like 'I'm better than you' o/~
You know, some people aren't interested in 'end games'. I play GW2 - you know what I did once I finished the story? I continued to run around, explore the world, take part in mini-adventures, and enjoy the small story-arcs they're releasing every two weeks. I don't need an 'end game'.
You know what? I'd be more than happy going into a Pokemon MMO, having the combat be 'real time', have cosmetics in stores, and battle trainers - both PC and NPC, hunt wild pokemon, and try to take on gyms. If they used the GW2 model for MMOs, I think it would work just fine in fact. Make a large enough map (and if…
Myth. Doesn't actually happen.
Normative? How many happily married couples can you name in comic books? I'll admit, having a happy relationship outside of marriage would be nice, too (re: Kyle Rayner and his first girlfriend, which I adored until they fridged her).
Yes, people can have that without marriage - that's perfectly true. That's not the point however. The point is - why not have a happily married couple? It doesn't suddenly ruin the comic to see someone get married, and actually enjoy their marriage. This idea (which is also a problem in Marvel thanks to Joe Q) is…
You know what? Why not have a super hero with a happy, healthy relationship? Someone to come home to after a grueling day fighting the worst the city or the world has to offer? No kidnapping, no threats to the spouse and family - just, 'this is what helps make it all worthwhile'. Some people do have happy, healthy…
I tend to take the default attitude of being positive about everything. There's some things I have a negative opinion on, but I carry an attitude of 'I'm not getting anywhere by being negative, so don't let it get to me'. It works well, I'm generally a cheerful, friendly person, I tend to enjoy myself in most…
