I generally agree with this, but I think strategic investment in US battery production is a good one. I’d bet it takes 10 years until the industrial base is at scale and is agile enough to rapidly and routinely reconfigure production to make new batteries for different use cases, which is what will eventually be needed

Any car that’s all Trumped-out. You know the one. Trump bumper stickers, Trump Flags, hand-written Trump pronouncements. You just know that the driver is someone you never want to sit next to at a party.

As it is in most other industries, the fact that dealerships are franchises--not directly owned by the company that makes the products they sell--is a huge part of the problem.

I can assure you that even in my area, Enterprise IT, the customers know FAR more than the sale dudes do. That is why our sales dudes are actually titled “Customer Relationship Managers”. We have OTHER people in different roles who handle the technical end of things.

I’m surprised Houston PD hasn’t just sent a dozen patrol cars to loiter around the event ready to ticket or impound cars behaving badly. It seems like this would be an obvious way to fix the problem.
