No, they caught it, it was bugged 6 months ago, and the Devs / Producers ignored it or waived it "Known Shippable". Yes this is a thing. A VERY common thing.

Ive heard a lot of slamming for it's story structure, most RPGs, when you make and name your character, it's primarily focused on you, but the character Nueko was made the primary focus of the story, not you and your family like the game was said to do.

I don't think we'll ever see it. At this point a Japanese AC game would never live up to the hype and the dissapointment could be a huge blow to the series.
