The compass stuff is great until it isn’t. Games like Elder Scrolls for instance, when you have a handful of missions going on at once with different elevations, the compass system becomes a giant mess of arrows/markers covering up other markers. Minimap is fine.

Yes, I hate compass systems and I love mini-maps. I don’t spend the whole game looking at them. I just glance over every now and then if I’m a bit lost. So much better than opening a whole map.

Removing them entirely is a horrible idea.
