Yup, they bought Maxwell Corp a few years ago. Maxwell already had Ultras that could be used in mass transit buses and other industrial purposes. You can replace your car battery with a bank of caps, it’s on Youtube.

The very best ultracaps have maybe 1/10 the energy density of good batteries. Caps are great for dumping a LOT of current in a hurry, but they can’t maintain the thrust for very long.
