Yep, I’ve been burned by that qualifier before as well!

In what world is a dodge anything competition for a Toyota?
Lot of cars don’t already. Cars with electric water pumps generally have a multi-step flow rate hence when you start the car it runs low flow and increases flow as temperature rises.Much more efficient than pumping against a closed thermostat.
God I hated those things. My mom had the pontiac version (phoenix) and I wish that bird had stayed dead. All the “X” cars were hateful pieces of junk.
I was out looking for a MINI for my wife, drove 1.5hours to the Toronto dealership that had the color combo I wanted and the sales guy wouldn’t even talk price or let me drive it unless I put down a deposit as he said I “wasn’t serious”! Bitch i drove through GTA traffic to get here. I bought a car that same day from…
It also needed to not look like a rental spec Malibu. GM fucked all of the Aussie imports with just terrible styling. The G8 was almost okay but then they killed Pontiac!
They keep changing the names because they do their best to make the name de jour a metaphor for hateful, incompetent, unreliable junk. Honda can keep the Civic name for 46 years because they never made a truly bad Civic. GM can’t keep using Vega, Chevette, Cavalier, Cobalt because all anyone thinks when they hear…
Yeah but how often does Toyota or Honda close plants?
And Chrysler/ Dodge/ Jeep is a Dutch flagged and headquartered company run by Italians with production in US, Canada and Europe. Stop with the stupid “buy American” speech. No company in the world is beholden to or cares about any particular country. All the profits go to same offshore accounts held by the same…
Exactly this. Done it with “written off” motorcycles and it’s no issue. No one aggressively checks your vehicle over for this and anyways it’s super easy to do as nice (or nicer) then the factory does so no one will ever care. And let’s be honest a new Roxor is wayyyy safer then a 40+ year old jeep from anywhere north…
You need to wear daisy Duke’s to drive that CJ!
Which means Mariah has more actual money then president draft dodger wishes he had.
What about Starship Trooper by YES?
In no world is a 2.5L 4 cylinder car worth 100K. It’s nice but that’s just crazy town.
The correct answer to “why” for DOHC over pushrods is displacement based rules for racing and displacement based taxes. If your race series says 5 litres maximum but does not care if pushrod or DOHC then you will always make more power from a 4 valve head. Similarly if you countries car taxes are based on displacement…
Measuring air in lbs seems weird (doubly so because I think in metric). How many cubic furlongs is that? or cubic meters for the civilized among us! (being sarcastic).
The I8 is pooping a 911, I never noticed before but the i3 appears to be pooping a shrunken Camaro. Interesting!
I’ve run k+N’s in every car and motorcycle I’ve ever owned and never had an issue with them. I rarely have done it for horsepower but simply because over as little as 2-3 air filter changes/ cleanings it’s cheaper. In the case of my German cars WAY cheaper.
Or one of those Hayabusa based V8's. Mmmm that would be a spicy meatball, 400+hp and 11,000+rpm. Probably would weigh less too.
Well race carbs can be good (although admittedly they don’t have to idle or pass emissions or even drive that well at low RPM’s). A well tuned set of Mikuni or Keihin flatslides on an air cooled GSXR motor is a thing of beauty. Anything other then full race carbs are annoying junk, yes I agree.
