So what does he want the EU to force its citizens to buy US cars? I go to Europe regularly, they don’t like US cars, they don’t even really like Japanese cars. Other then Corvettes, Vipers and Mustangs I rarely even see a US made car (Ford of Europe cars yes, Opels which used to be American owned yes but that’s it).

Yep, I saw a Ford 4 valve motor on the bench and it literally is a direct copy of a M62 BMW engine. It looks like the freaking intake would bolt on!

Daimler-Benz DB600 series. OHC, 4 valves per cylinder, centrifugal supercharged inverted V12. Came out in 1933, direct injection was added in 1937! (designed by Bosch of course). British sure did copy it and the Americans tried but failed and gave up and used licence built British engines. Japanese (Mitsubishi)

2008-2009 Chevy Malibu: $5000 average. 2008-2009 Honda accord: $11,000 avg. 2008-2009 Toyota Camry: $10,000 avg.

At least in Canada anyone who buys a new Chevy sedan over a Honda or Toyota equivalent is a fool. Honda’s and Toyota’s hold their value like bears and even a ten year old model is worth wayyy more money then you’d think while a Chevy sedan is scrap value in 5 years. The only people buying GM sedans are dumb people

How’s the diesel?

If Obama had 0.0000001% of the legal issues Drumpf had the Repubs would be on their 1000th impeachment proceeding by now. You guys are such freaking hypocrites.

Canada didn’t skip the meetings, they weren’t invited. This is a typical “divide and conquer” negotiation technique which is right up there with “good cop, bad cop” for its obviousness and stupidity. I’m hoping our trade ministers tell President draft dodger to shove it up his ass if he tries anything stupid (which

You had me until you said dodge and reliability in the same sentence. Dodge actually the only manufacturer below VW on the regular.

Needs more diesel!

In Honda’s defence they won’t finance a dried turd and rarely if ever give FCA level discounts.

Donor car” LOL. The only reason they need that is Singer can’t make new 911 titles. Literally all they need is the VIN plate and the ownership. I doubt even the floor pan makes it into the actual finished car.

Mmmm, unless you know something from the inside I kinda don’t believe you. Magna has done from very small runs of cars to very large quantities for vendors. Magna/ Tesla are just about a perfect fit as far as I could tell. I think the issue is arrogance not availability.

Tesla should have hired Magna years ago. Not a competitor, not technically an “automaker” but damn near all the European automakers (and some NA automakers) use them to build their cars and build their factories. You get the knowledge without the baggage. Model 3 may have actually hit it’s schedule had they done this.

Yep, I never had great results with Goodyear anyway but now? Forget it I’ll stick with European brands thanks. If it works on the autobahn it will work in Canada.

Mine started with the HO (LOL) 305. By the time I was done it had a 355 at 10.5:1, 68 double bump heads , a decent cam and edelbrock intake and holley carb. Went through 4 TH700 transmissions (even a “built” one!). Ditched it because emission testing was coming and it wasn’t going to pass!

You mean red states. Democrat=blue, Republican=RED. California should seperate just so they could stop propping up all the states which then vote repub!

235, that must have been a good year! My 3rd gen had 185HP. Literally couldn’t get out of its own way!

All right, I chuckled.

I thought Porsche was the king of margin with their $5000 leather wrapped air vents and cocksters optioned up to $150,000? When did they cede the crown to bmw?
