Here’s my theory on IPAs. I got into the whole beer-making thing very briefly. Making a good beer is incredibly hard. Making a blister-your-toungue, super-hoppy, over-hopped, hoppy-hop-hop-fest is easy. The hops cover all your mistakes and lack of skill and knowledge.

Things that have been artificially “distressed” bother me. Fake rust; fake ripped jeans; even Fender’s Road Worn-series guitars. Why not just buy a real old thing, or buy a new thing and use it until it’s old? You don’t see people getting their hair dyed gray, or going to a dermatologist for artificial wrinkles and…

Fair enough. My point about the stars was, that many people made the conscious choice to like the comments, or agree with them. But like I said, I’d rather just read the articles and not contribute unless I have a strong opinion, but even then not expect it to be read. I’ve Kinjad before.

This is false. Because on some posts I’ve been greyed while in others I was ungreyed and allowed with all the other “very good” commenters.

My moderate take: It's not a stupid move for the Raiders,  but I wouldn't be shocked to see them shit the bed on those picks or trade them away for garbage. It makes sense,  but you do have to nail the draft picks, which is far from guaranteed. 

I don’t think the Bears having been stupid and the Raiders having been stupid are mutually exclusive. Nor do I think “Well, we expected them to do this” is much of a response to “This was stupid.”

I don’t know. The Raiders aren’t contending for anything and mid first round picks are gold. If the Bears suck (very possible) they’re potential beasts. If the picks end up in the 20's, they're cheap. Resigning Mack would tie up a lot of cap space, and letting him go for nothing would be catastrophic. I wouldn't mind…

Since he got here, Ryan Pace seems to be allergic to draft picks and wants to end up with as few of them as possible.

I love the commitment to winning, but I gotta say it's pretty cute that the Bears are making moves like this as if they will be competing. Sure, our QB still looks like he needs five years of development, but let's pursue win now talents!
