There’s always going to be sleezebag cost-cutter exceptions to the rules, but, those are the rules. I actually just like to think that I’m not just lucky to have worked in several very well managed and run properties and that the majority of hotels act like they’re supposed to. But I may also be jaded.

Well duh, that’s why the kids were usually ditched on somebody’s doorstep once they were noticed. Obviously, none of them intentionally kidnapped anyone, because they were assholes, not sociopaths.
