You are just wrong. ANY extra interior lighting is going to cause your pupils to dilate more than they should and diminish your night vision. This is just science and not up for debate. A car interior should look like this at night, and I’d even say that they have the gauge brightness a bit to high even here.

Completely agree with this (and also a pleasure to read from someone as well-versed in MotoGP as I like to think I might be).

I would agree that this is an issue in all top-level motorsports series, that teams are unwilling to go with untested rising talent versus veterans who have shown that they can handle the vehicle but will never be anywhere near the championship again/ever. The first paragraph summed things up perfectly. If Verstappen begins feeling any pressure and things aren’t going his way, he falls apart. His behavior was exactly like “early Verstappen” from several years ago... basically a whiny bitch who blames everybody else.

It’s not really a left or right issue NEITHER party care.  You don’t see either party standing up demanding something like random inspections of mines in the DRC.  As with pretty much all mining, no one wants it near them and would prefer it’s in brown countries where they don’t have to see it.

And therein lies the rub....she either attempts to fly commercial and turns every airport she enters into a stampeding, screaming shit-show, or she flies private and burns a lot of petrol.  The latter actually seems more sane, more efficient, less dangerous, and far easier for herself and staff.  Meh.

It hides away if you don’t want to see it, and all of the car’s functions can be controlled without it.
