The Bron thing felt like fanfic, but I’m okay with the rest.
Ah yes, I remember when George W. returned from the Middle East after “Mission Accomplished” riding a dragon and proceeded to burn Arlington to the ground. Good times.
Jon & Tormund beyond the wall, and especially Arya’s adventures are prime sequel material.
I’ve bitched a lot over the past few seasons- and I’m still not happy about the short cuts they took- but I enjoyed the ending. I’m sad to see it go. I’d rather see sequels than prequels.
I....actually liked the ending. I’m sort of shocked.
“Uggh...the Queen? Yeah about that, she just hopped on Drogon and flew off! Strangest thing ..she said she would be back next week though and for you guys to just ..stand around looking menacing. Yep. Carry on and all. I have a little business up north to attend to presently so ...see all you murdering horde later!” -…
No one saw it and there was no body so I’m unsure how things went the way they did. Did Jon just roll up to the unsullied like “Hey, I just murdered your queen. Hope that was cool lol”.
God damn it, I kept waiting to be disappointed, but I wasn’t. I cheered when Drogon melted the Iron Throne. I loved how Drogon fucked off outta Westeros with Dany. I loved Sansa becoming Queen in the North. I loved Jon petting Ghost. I...it was good! It was a good ending! I’m going to let myself be pleased by the…
I realize many may disagree with me, but I thought they stuck the landing. I loved that finale. Tyrion’s speech + Dany’s attempt to justify herself also made Episode 5 much easier to swallow, doesn’t change the fact that S8 was rushed, but this ending delivered everything I was hoping it would.
I get what you’re saying, and yeah on paper, I totally agree, but it’s frustrating when they spend all these years building empathy with characters that are presented as heroic and moral, and turn them into sneering villains.
Everybody is complaining about Dany’s turn, and yeah, I agree it wasn’t handled well, but I think Grey Worm takes asshole of the year home uncontested. Seriously, fuck that guy.
I think that was pretty good. Better than it could have been by a long way.
Davos lived! Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
Not bad. Wrapped things up in a tidy bow, and everyone is where it feels like they should be.
I’m with you. I love the sense of full immersion in a world, & for whatever may be its flaws, GoT the show definitely had that. I’ll go ahead & say I am on board for whatever prequels and/or sequels they have a go at.
And with that, GOT comes to an end.
This same thing happened at the F1 race at Baku
“Baku, is that you?”
