which nobody actually calls you

I think bringing refueling back would go a long way towards that end. Most of the weight now is a result of the strict crash safety standards, which is largely positive, plus the increased size for the high downforce regs post-2017. Drivers definitely enjoy high downforce now, so they won’t want to sacrifice too much

Two weeks away already?! I can’t wait!

TBH, I’m a little disappointed.  I was hoping for a new Macan with a new chassis(read: lighter) with just gas engines.

Mercedes and Ferrari wanted to operate under different terms to the rest of the teams...”

They should have done this country wide years and years ago. I can understand putting speed limits in congested areas, but there are massive chunks of interstate with little to no one around all over the US that could have speed limits removed and it cause very little negative impact. I drive 100 miles on my daily

Thought: I’ve long felt that the American multi-tasking driving culture evolved from the unreasonably low speed limits that we have had to deal with for decades. With those limits making drivers *think* they don’t need to pay full attention. I know when I get up to 100, 110 that thoughts of multitasking quickly

Your move, Texas

Remember how the Nascar trucks and even the Arca series were putting down faster laps at Daytona over the Cup cars a few times because of restrictor plate rule differences?

Couldn’t disagree more. Seeing an F1 car go through the esses at speed in Austin in person is something to behold.  Yes, being able to follow/pass is important, but not at the cost of making it pedestrian.

Here in the Bay Area we live with this vehicular asshattery just about every day on both freeways (which are already clogged up as it is) and at intersections in city neighborhoods.

While I have no interest in being that asshole, I do recognize that as far as he’s concerned for that brief moment he’s living his best life and that’s at least a little enviable.

You misspelled RPG.

First thing I thought of......

That’s the right question. The ONLY thing that high in the area is a highway sign on the opposite side of the interstate. There are no overpasses, billboards, nada, that this could be taken from. The person who took it was 100% part of it.

Pretty sure that reference is to Rich Energy, the new title sponsor for Haas.

Cool, so now we have a vaporware energy drink and a vaporware tech company as team sponsors in F1.

Williams, sponsored by the ROKiT Humanity Cell Phone, which includes life insurance, “tele-medicine”, and pharmacy discounts.

Reefer madness.
