Charging company has a ground breaking idea to create gas stations for charging after finding EV customers still enjoy a soda, bag of chips, a restroom, and a windshield washing like everyone else.

They’re probably going to halve the issue and trim the fat on some tracks we all don’t care too much for, move some of the tracks we do enjoy to an every-other-year sort of schedule and then work new ones in as they can.

Not sure how abnormal this is. The one near me is set up this way, except they don’t have the entrance into the lot their near the line (likely because they wanted the line to form in the parking lot when super busy rather than back out toward the road):
