I think the hole point was the “production car on public road”

Except those scientists working on crop yield and pestilent resistance amiright?
That. Is. Awesome.
Three pedals or death.
I’ve owned one auto and swore to never again.
Pretty unbelievable the #24 RLL BMW didn’t get a penalty for that cluster of a decision going into turn 10 when he barreled through the apex and the traffic that was there as well, or that the #63 didn’t get one for colliding into yet another car (this time the #77) coming out of pit lane.
Still, I bet you were smiling pretty good on the inside at that gas station
Like all UN related things, doesn’t it still fall to the sovereign states to choose to adhere? Doesn’t the enforcement here still fall on the EU?
There doesn’t appear to be any story related to this where Rolls, the EU, or anyone else has clarified saying because this stems from UNECR48 they will be removing them from…
Except, that doesn’t make it less stupid. I mean, Daily Mail evil rah rah but it’s still hard to describe how a lit Spirit of Ecstasy is a problem or that it became a problem only after this was already produced and purchased for years.
Eye of the beholder and all that
Ah yes, the greatness of Alonso...
Agreed, but why stop here? Shouldn’t anything that serves only to be a pleasing aesthetic be done away with? I mean, if that pleasing aesthetic also furthers the Worker’s Revolution then OK, but if not then surely it should be abolished.
A friendly reminder that in this country legislation is supposed to be written by the legislature.
Hmm, so 1st gear has Raph all uppity because concept car is concept car and this one is trying new health safety concept. 2nd gear has nothing to do with automobiles at all. Both 1st and 2nd could apparently be solved/fixed/corrected by the government, just not one lead by the wrong politicians and we’re presumably…
Maybe, but many/most suppliers state-side would’ve been shut down in April/May. I guess you could make the case for more state level decision making but most hurumphing re-pandemic has been of the “Trump/the Feds should’ve done more to control...” ilk. It’s hard to imagine a different administration handling this in a…
Heck yes! This sounds like an awesome and worthy initiative.
First, the timeline you’re going through is a bit off. They (RB/AT) don’t need to secure a deal ahead of 2021, Honda is only leaving after the 2021 season. With the current deals set, that would mean RB would be looking for an engine supplier when Mercedes are powering four teams (McLaren will be running them),…
Nice, thanks for posting. Hadn’t seen that.
Sure, but the catch 22 is they’d probably be further along in their pursuit of faster cars, better batteries, and better tracks if there were more development competition. But that would mean letting these teams duke it out in R&D and then they have the same problem of out of control costs everyone complains about in…
IDK, maybe. But almost all these manufacturers went to Formula E because there’s so little development cost in it and often because their parent companies screwed up somewhere else. They go because its cheap, not because they can display any technical prowess.
