The Elmiraj... What an achingly beautiful car. I was hoping that GM would see the light and build Cadillac a proper flagship coupe. Cadillac represents large, American luxury around the world. I knew GM wasn’t serious about making Caddy a contender again when they A) Moved their HQ to NYC and B) Did not build the

Or the Ciel, or the Elmiraj, or the Escala...

Said almost no one ever racing in the MX-5 Cup Racing Series....

Does “Ford” carry no brand equity?

You think living in a 13 foot trailer is good.

I’m guessing the brand equity gained by this from the general populace is supposed to outweigh the brand dilution loss for the 1% Mustang enthusiasts, at least per Ford’s calculations.

car bad name

If its not a truck, Ford brings no brand equity to the table. Everything else it offers outside of its truck or the Mustang are meh at best and horrible at worst

They called them Mustang IIs as an apology for calling them Mustang at all.

I keep suggesting “Galaxie”.   Or, if you prefer, “Galax-E”

62 mph is 100 kph. 0-62 mph has been the metric standard as long as I can remember.

You’re all wrong, it clearly looks like an updated 612 Scaglietti. I like the Scag, so that’s a compliment from me.

It’s interesting that they are bumping up against the ring and pinion for torque limit. I think back in the TJ era a Dana 44 was a helluva upgrade axle set, but given the weight and size gain of these things it sounds like they are just barely keeping pace. I think the Wrangler is getting the point where it can’t get

Yea...for the first time since the 04 unlimited, I actually want a Wrangler. But jeezus they are ridiculous. I mean for a Rubicon with some toys on it you’re looking at the better part of 50K if not more. That’s just absurd for a Jeep.

No, at the crank. The engine’s max torque figure is lower than that of the Ram because the Jeep’s driveline can’t handle a 480 lb-ft engine.

This is a great article, David.
