It was a newer generation. It was dirt cheap, I kinda suspect most i10s out there come with steering wheel heating now.

I just went and rented a Hyundai i10. Did the job just fine (though I spent my 5 days along the South coast), even had a heated steering wheel.

They also pulled air out from the wheel well, and thus the underbody, increasing top speed and downforce a bit.

Surprised? No. Frustrated? Absolutely. They’ve been pushing the idea from the get-go that the production vehicle would look very similar to the concept. If I’m seeing these photos correctly (it’s hard to tell because they’re so garbage), it has none of the bold, and good, choices from the concept.

Huh, TIL about the drawbacks/usage limitations of front lockers. I guess this is why the Raptor has mid and rear lockers and a front Torsen.

The wing looks very different in that pic. It's at the very least raked much farther forward, and I suspect it might be a slightly different item.

Yeah, I’ve been saying that if it was available with stick and AWD it would 80% likely be my household’s next car, moving up to 98% if that combo was available with skyactiv-x.

I only find myself in a true stop and go traffic jam about once a week, but I live in Seattle so there’s always moderate to annoying levels traffic on every road in every direction between 6am and 9pm. I find stick to be much more enjoyable, even in the occasional jam. Every well executed start or perfectly matched

1. You can’t just ignore a situation that happens fairly often (wet roads, no active rain, not behind someone).

The cross linked suspension is a hydraulic system that replaces sway bars, leveling the car with a lower effective spring rate. This allows the car to have a cushier ride with the same cornering performance.

Suggest a better one, then.

Solution 1: I addressed this in my original post. Roads can be very wet when it isn’t actively raining, and vice versa.

I’m not an automotive ME, but as an ME in a somewhat related field sensors and control systems make up most of my work. To me, calibrating a microphone for road noise seems like it would be relatively easy.

Ive heard that McLarens that have cross-linked suspension, such as the 720s, are pretty comfortable. That said, it’s pretty damn hard to beat a non-gt-line 911 for touring comfort, you pretty much have to go s-class/7-series/a8 for that.

Very true, but again, they require time and money to fight.

Have you ever rented? I have yet to see a lease that does not have something a reasonable person would expect not to be enforced. In all but one of the leases I’ve signed, there are clauses that blatantly violate my state’s tenant protection laws.
