It is. Those things always fail (in my experience after not too long), it’s one more part you’ll have to inevitably replace (or give up on and use a 2x4 instead).

I can’t think of a single car I’ve worked on older than 10 years that’s had a working hood strut that hadn’t been replaced already. If you’re lucky they’ll keep it from falling too fast while you grab the 2x4.

You think that oems haven't noticed the countless posts flooding social media?

The leaf, bolt, kona, ioniq and e-Golf (why are we including this one?) all use non-LiFePo li-ion batteries (though LiFePo is a kind of Li-ion, all marketing materials will hype the advancement in whichever vehicles it eventually end up in). As I understand it LiFePo is now surpassing li-ion in near-marketeable

You’re ignoring its coolest part (well, not really, but I nerd out over aero), the fluted, shaped exhaust tips that seem to be designed to blow the diffuser. More downforce and no gaudy chrome tips.

Thanks for the info, even if it is three years later haha.

You were saying?

Um.

That’s a big-ass (heh) radar boom.

Do you mean the clutch cover? That’s like asking if ICE cars will ever stop having sump drain plugs.

Because you need a passion for, rather than a hate of, motorcycles to be annoyed by egregious extended swingarms. That pulsing headlights made it onto this list, and as high up as they did, REALLY pisses me off.

The SNELL still requires helmets to be too stiff. They improved it a bit by lowering impact forces, but is still has the double impact standard, which leads to foam that is far too stiff in the vast majority of cases. It does not increase impact safety over the DOT certification, and makes concussions far more likely.

It’s an auto parts store. Western WA.

I’ve never had issues bringing my fluids into either local O’Reily’s for recycling.

To each their own. Nothing wrong with a good set of TE37s, though.

Surely there is a middle ground, though?

You can get kevlar-reinforced riding jeans that are pretty comfy and give you all the protection you need.

You don’t need to look like a power ranger to ATGATT. Helmet, jacket, gloves, riding jeans (reinforced with kevlar) and boots. All the gear but the helmet can look like what you would walk around in, though I would recommend wearing a back protector under the jacket for highway stints (ex: http://www.revzilla.com/motor

The music is what killed it for me.
