Loved this show as a kid. Here’s a good history lesson about its creation:

But...but....it III had the best tag line: First it was teacher to student, then it was father to son, now it’s man to man.

Well, fuck.  I really enjoyed the first season.  Seems I was one of the few.

I’d really like them to pass it to Killmonger. It would be interesting to see him working to earn the crown, to uphold T’Challa’s legacy while also charting his own course.  Also, why is the queen saying her whole family is dead?  Does something happen to Shuri!?

The [original] film is about a relationship between an isolated bullied boy and an isolated lonely girl, who we learn is a vampire,” showrunner Andrew Hinderaker told EW.”

Completely agree that Jane got short thrift in regards to being worthy of Mjolnir.  Also, it would have been great to see the other fallen Asgardians like Odin, Frigg, Hogun, Fandral, etc, but especially Loki.  Loki welcoming her to Valhalla would have been the perfect way to close out their story.

Archive 81 was complete enough to still be worth a watch.  Think of the ending cliffhanger as more of horror style ending.

My takeaways from the first three episodes in no particular order:

1. I don’t want them to wait for the very end of the last episode of Season 1 to put him in the costume.

I can’t wait for this!  Reminds me of Tarsem Singh’s work, especially The Fall.

The Originals was the only show worth watching on that network. Ever.  And then they went and blew the landing.

What if this takes place in a separate universe where none of those people exist and different heroes defeated a different villain to undo the snap?

I was pissed that we basically missed the boss fight because they wanted to preserve the whole Jake Lockely reveal. They could have just had Harrow flash back to his Jake delivered thrashings before the end.

“... many fans were hoping the character of Danny Rand would be played by an Asian actor, if only because the idea of a white boy being great at kung fu raises some eyebrows.”

I fear I’m going to have a hard time getting through this series. I cannot stand bumbling, henpecked characters like Steven Grant. The last thing I want is to spend the better part of 6 hours in his POV.

I’m so tired of these heroes vs heroes crossover events. Give me a villains vs villains event where the heroes are just trying to contain the damage.  Give me Thanos vs Apocalypse or something.

Why did they get an a-list director for this?

I’m going to give this a shot, but I am really, really tired of the “forbidden love” trope.

“...a magistrate and former soldier who lives on planet Pala and is in charge of protecting it...”  One magistrate for an entire planet?  I am so fucking tired of this trope of an entire planet being encompassed in one city/town/village.
