I've had the same thought. The 1080p on the 4S makes it necessary to have an app that can record maybe 720p instead, since I really don't need to use up all my hard drive space on baby videos that my family will all be watching on their smartphone or netbooks anyway

I want to know about a video editing app. I'm researching for a new phone right now, and a decent video editing app might tip the balance for Android. Mostly all I've found are mediocre reviews for existing apps, of the "Well, at least it's functional" variety. I need more than that.

I can muster up a pretty genuine-looking smile for the camera but it starts to fade if the photographer is futzing with the camera. You want genuine smiles in other people, don't tell them to smile until you're ready to hit the shutter!

I don't lie or change anything. I install Firefox, set it as the default, import the bookmarks, and tell them I upgraded their internet. If they ask for details, I'll explain, but otherwise, most of my family have been using firefox for a few years now. I even have my nephews referring to Internet Explorer as "Firefox

Facebook Status: "OMG, I can't believe what just happened"

Anytime a family member gets a new computer, the next time I visit I do two things. First, I "Upgrade their internet" This means I install Firefox and set it as the default browser. "Why does the internet (read: browser icon) look different?" "I upgraded your internet" "Oh, cool, thanks!" Then I install TeamViewer and

I use a pot, not a pan. I know Americans use the word pan slightly differently, so maybe you mean what I call a pot. To me, a pan is too shallow for rice. A pan is for frying eggs.

I used to feel that way about stovetop rice. But then one day I didn't have time for the rice cooker, so I forced myself to do it stovetop, and now I'm much better at it. It's almost as hard as boiling water.

I'd like it if I could get it to work with Growl

my wife had a co-worker who would spray that awful Axe cologne around his desk five times a day, like air freshener. Every time he sprayed it, she'd get a headache, sometimes treading into migraine territory. Her supervisor told her not to confront the guy, because he was one of those bad attitude guys who, when

Once I fix a major landmark in my head, I always know where I am in relation to it. Especially if it's a long landmark like a lakeshore or a major highway. Having fixed the direction of the lakeshore, I pretty quickly figure out whether major roads run parallel or perpendicular to it.

Seriously? My service charge is $1.50. Friend gets an email for deposit within a half hour. The only friend I can't send money to is with one of those credit unions instead of a traditional bank. Which is a shame because I owe him cash and he lives far away.

I was under the impression that Google said an iOS app is on the way. Not that it matters to me, the only viable music store option for the rest of the planet is still iTunes. Got an Android phone? iTunes —>Advanced—>convert to MP3. Easy Peasy.

iCam worked really well for us. It was 5 bucks, took minimal setup, worked with 2 cameras (although it seems to be set up for up to four) and the notifications on my phone were awesome.

When I used it I set the laptop to sleep and wake so it was monitoring when I wanted it the most, but had some cool-down time.

I don't use a lot of webcams, but my general rule for regular cameras and other devices that attach to my computer is to immediately throw away any software that comes with it. For one thing, the drivers on the disk are probably already out of date. Go to their website, find the current drivers, and use third party

My wife and I alternate the new vs hand-me-down. She got the new Macbook Pro, I'm getting the new iPhone and giving her my old one... hey, wait, that's not fair at all!

I'm occasionally asked to help a friend or family member lock down their wifi network, which usually also involves a request to make it work better/faster/whatever.

I don't understand why you wouldn't just do a money transfer through your bank without sticking Paypal in the middle. My bank's mobile app works really well for this.

I'd recommend iTunes.
