You should be able to more or less do this via iTunes on Windows. It might involve running the initial match/upload process, then back up your original library, then delete your original library, then redownload all. Just keep the backup until after your subscription expires, just in case :)

It's my understanding that it preserves all the custom data you've added

yeah, that needs some fake plants or bamboo in it.

A friend of mine was joking that her husband talked to Siri more than he talked to her, so I suggested she wait until the phone is unattended, then say "Siri, from now on I want you to call me Chicken Legs". She did. I'm still waiting to hear how it turned out.

We buy the kirkland, we prefer them to other kinds. We recently went on vacation and planned to buy diapers on arrival rather than take a two-week supply on the plane; After two weeks with Pampers and Huggies, we were pretty anxious to get back to the Kirkland.

What's wrong with jamming them in your mouth by the fistful?

When I was a smoker I only smoked outside. I have never smoked in any place that I lived. (Well... maybe a couple of times when I lived in Calgary but it gets COLD there). In one place when I realized that my outside smoke was going into a neighbour's window, I started smoking in a different place. I didn't wait for

You obviously don't buy a lot of diapers :)

Yeah, the DC outlet is for chumps!

Vote: Rubber bands

I wish I could get it to not count a skip if I listened to more than, say, 75% of a song first. Sometimes I dont' want to hear the fade out at the end, doesn't mean I don't like the song, I just think I'll like the next song more than the repetitive bit at the end of this one.

I did that for a while. Here's where it fell apart: it's a pain to change the rating on the iPod. So if something comes up in the playlist and you think, oh, i don't want that in there anymore, first you have to mess around and change the rating to 1 or 2 so it unsyncs next time, then you have the problem that you've

Not everyone's listening patterns are as simplistic as "This is the music I like, and the rest can GTFO".

I'm not being sarcastic in the least. I can launch an App with spotlight faster and easier than I can clicking it on the dock with a mouse or trackpad. More to the point, I can do that on any mac, I don't have to make sure they have some third party app installed.

I'm really happy with spotlight. I love it to bits. Best thing about it is it's already there, so when I sit down at a different Mac (happens a lot) I dont' have to worry about whether they've got it installed.

Yes, It's easier to type cmd+spacebar; p-h-Return, than it is to move my hand to the mouse and move the cursor to click on the photoshop icon.

Yes, yes, but that's not funny!

I remember when washing by hand was faster. Back when I was single, specifically during that one blissful year when I had roommates who actually took responsibility for their own dishes, and I only had a limited set of dishes that I washed immediately after use.

Why do you draw the moon and constellations on it?

Store it in the Microwave! It's a more sealed environment than on the counter, and also gets it out of the way. It takes two seconds to pull the bread out of the micro if you need to zap something, just wait until any residual steam in the micro is gone before putting it back in.
