I’m hoping that bubble pops in about 5-10 years and I conceivably afford one.

It’s stated because it’s true. It was his truck in the way, so one would assume he knew it was there. However, you’re going too fast for the environment if you can’t correct for things that occur. If lifting causes oversteer, then it was too fast for the environment. Lifting mid corner means too much speed.

1st: I can understand thinking the car would turn off if you walked away. It seems to me, though, that if you’re too stupid to read your owner’s manual or even test the thing to see what happens, then it’s on you when you gas yourself to death. Too few people are willing to take anything remotely resembling personal

“fuckin’................lime.”

Refreshing to see genuine enthusa-journalism (with bonus Ferrari sacrilege) instead of a litany of droll commentary typically associated with vintage vehicles. Would love to see you cover Goodwood next year, Raphael!

The guy is describing a freaking CHEETAH and get’s interrupted by something cooler.

The Unlimited and Grand Prix hydroplanes used to run open cockpits, and you could count on multiple dead or severely injured drivers every year. Since 1988 when the Unlimiteds mandated enclosed canopies, there has been only one fatality. All the while the boats got faster and faster.

No, no, no........ I kept dreading I would have to read this.

To borrow a phrase from JW’s home county. I am utterly gobsmacked that people are on here giving Tony Stewart shit.

Well done. I can't profess to like Tony Stewart (not that my opinion matters), but this was a very nice gesture. I guess it's a lesson that humans are, as always, complicated; rarely all bad or all good.

~$4/gallon, and I still can’t get 93 octane in this stupid state. You forgot point #6, market manipulators and lobbyists. Even with the known confounds, it doesn’t add up. Oil goes down by ~75%, gas price down by ~10%. I don’t get it.

Didn’t read, but I assume the answer is, “All the money.”

Remember when I said we were going to fix broken motorcycle journalism? Meet the guy who’s going to lead the charge. Sean MacDonald comes to us from RevZilla’s Common Tread blog and he’ll be our point man at Lanesplitter from now on. Please give him a warm Jalopnik welcome!

This unfortunate situation forced these people to buy much more reasonable vehicles, such as used Cadillac Escalades.

-The reason I’ve been reading all these dealership complaints is that I cannot sleep on airplanes. This is because I am six-foot, three inches tall, whereas the maximum height for sleeping on airplanes has been strictly defined by the FAA as “no taller than a medium-sized badger.”
