People who run political party are biased toward a candidate with a long history in their party, rather than someone who wasn’t in the party until he announced he was running for president?

When I was 16, I was paid minimum wage to participate in a reality TV show in Puerto Rico that included challenges like eating mayonnaise on camera with my hands tied behind my back.
that’s right up there with the “you’re a bigot if you don’t accept my bigotry” line of reasoning
Name one aspect of the gameplay that becomes different if Link wore pink.
Burneko, this is right and good and correct and excellent and for a (one can only assume very) temporary period you are not the absolute worst.
I was reading about this yesterday and the whole “Extinction” thing really hit me as a wtf moment. This woman imagines a future world where no child is born with debilitating or life limiting physical or mental handicaps... and she sees this as a bad thing...
Exactly. The genetic mutation that leads to Down Syndrome will continue to occur pretty randomly in the population much as it always has. She's making it sound like DS is inherited from parents to children. Weird.
Extinction? God, these people with their anti-science bullshit. That word clearly doesn’t mean what she thinks it means. Trisomy 21 is NOT a favorable error. There is no benefit to be found. Yet another example of these twits saying, “This was my choice, so I’m going to try to prevent you from making a different one.”
One the other other hand, this may not be the ideal place to spew your thinly veiled anti-choice fuckery.
Yes, but has this been an endemic and widespread problem in Ohio?
The way to address the gender imbalance problem is with gender equity, rather than placing restrictions on women’s access to reproductive health care. Similarly, I’m all for continued improvements and enlightenment re: attitudes toward and resources for people with disabilities. If we have a society where having a…
Of course, once this passes, there will be lots of legislation and funding to assist the families who have been forced to birth a child with disabilities for which they are perhaps not capable of caring/coping/etc. Otherwise, that would just be cruel to both the families and the children.
Since I know next to nothing about sororities, the history of this one escaped me. Now I’m having an “Of course!” moment.
I guess that's where the slut-shaming came in for me. Because she was from such a shitty family, she must have been easy. It read that way to me, but now that I'm older, I understand a lot more.
Atticus hated the Ewells because they were white and didn’t have any “excuse” for being the way they were. He didn’t “hate” black people because he saw them as inferior.
I don’t think Mayella was a good time girl at all. I think she was completely starved for any type of affection and she latched onto Tom because he was kind to her.
I think owning it is important. We may never be able to change ourselves to be the people we want to be, but understanding ourselves lets us start to try.
You really think it’s that simplistic? She had no reputation. She was from a trash family and her father was likely raping her. The one man who was kind to her on a human level ends up being arrested and eventually murdered. Her father is to blame -and she is going along with it because what else can she do? She's a…
I know! Especially considering Mayella was probably being raped by her father! There was strong illusion to that point.
