I normally hate Nerf Now, but they FUCKING NAILED IT.

It's just a reference to a bunch of funny x-rays that have been circulating the net for years - one is a bottle up some guy's butt. Now look at the guy's face.

Valid point - thank you.

I absolutely agree with this - I admit I lost track of the real issue over very general concerns that gay characters won't be treated properly or included as mere 'token' characters. There's no reason to make that assumption at this stage.

You make some excellent points, and I have to admit re-reading the article now that I was probably a tad hasty - I guess once I started typing I feel into my pretty standard "ok, if we're gonna do this let's do this right" rant and lost track of the real issue.

God, no wonder I always get a lot of crappy search results.

All I asked is that it's played well, instead of for the point of doing it.

Absolutely. If a character's sexuality is mentioned at all, it should be relevant to the story. People tend to expect an incidental love interest - if writers feel the need to include them, let's see more gay relationships. There's no need to make a fuss about it.

I'm all for gay characters in games, assuming that there's a reason behind it.

We should all understand by now that if it involves money, Kotick will gravitate towards it. This movie has money right there in the title.

You don't say.

I just realised I never actually played Police quest 2. I must have played PQ1 about ten times, but PQ2? Never owned it.

Been a long time since I saw Jurassic Park or read the Lost World. Thanks for the clarification.

Precisely - I just wonder if he assumed 2K would somehow find an excuse to 'shoot the messenger', by laying the blame on him. As I said above, they'd have no reasonable grounds to do so, but he may have had the concerns nevertheless.

I'm not denying Redner screwed up, he's certainly not the victim here. I just understand where he's coming from, even if he had no right to take the position he did.

I'm surprised Gamespot even knows how to review games below a 7/10.

I always assumed that that plot point was the leadin for a sequel - I've never seen The Lost World but I have read the novel, which is almost completely unrelated - it's just some other island where all the "test" dinosaurs are hanging out, seperate from the 'real' park.

According to a Twitter psot from a couple of months ago she's taking a break from the Escapist.

Redner had nothing to do with PRODUCING the game. The comments did not come from 2K. So far, I haven't seen 3D Realms/Gearbox/2K whining about bad review scores like it's somehow the reviewer's fault.

I am mainly replying in order to promote your comment because promoting doesn't seem to be working in this primitive version of internet explorer I am forced to use at work.
