Halo Wars had a decent story and awesome cinematics. It did poorly because RTS games are damned difficult on consoles. It only did as well as it did because of the Halo branding and the fact that it gave people early access to a map pack.

Here's the thing: Bad Company 2 was a good game. As a Modern Warfare 2 fanboy, I am prepared to admit that. But the Call of Duty name has pulling power, and Bad Company 2 had to go up against it. And it did well! Not as well as it could have, but it did well.

I wish to make it clear, without a trace of irony or doubt, that I think The Last Starfighter is the greatest god damn movie of all time.

It looks interesting, and I think the mashup of talents from PA and Minecraft will suit this type of game well. It's a shame that the Penny-Arcade game flopped (even as a fan of the first game I quickly lost interest in the second) but I want to see more games that will support their style.

I also respect that female and male characters can kick equal amounts of ass in Epic-made/influenced games, but I just know someone is going to take a dig at the game because Anya is a cliche bad-ass chick now.
