I had one of those things when I was a kid, but it was entirely digital. It was basically a big electronic target with an LCD gunman in the centre. It would count down, then the gunman would suddenly have a gun in his hand. It even had variable difficulty so once I could outdraw the "low" setting I could challenge

I live with my wife. We're both in our late 20's and have no kids. The 360, PS3 (and Wii, before we traded it in) live in the loungeroom, ready to be engaged at a moment's notice. The 360 is used on a daily basis more often than not, as we play a lot of Halo together. The PS3 is basically a blu-ray movie player, used

That's the least accurate thing I've read today, and I work in a job where I need to be alert for fraud.

Personally I consider Bulletstorm an appetiser. It had the profanity, the dick jokes, the sense of humour and the over the top action... but where was the vulgarity? The real crudeness and ego of Duke? I loved Bulletstorm, but I always bet on Duke.

Generic in what way exactly? Maybe you could elaborate.

I'm in my late twenties and I'm actually finding myself thinking on an intellectual level that most movies would actually be better without pointless nudity and sex, and that it's never, ever actually been necessary to show any nudity except to shock and excite - sometimes a bare set of shoulders is suggestive enough,

Actually some of the more recent American Pie movies seem to be more interested in nudity, but I assume that's just so people will watch them. I didn't know until last year that they actually kept making them after the third one where Jim and Michelle get married. Hell, there's even one that's ABOUT an annual

Gratuitous tits were always crass, there's no sense getting butthurt because it's linked to our hobby instead of everything else the 80s felt was necessary to make movies about. While I appreciate some practically vintage breasts jiggling their way across my screen for no reason whatsoever, I still find it baffling

No, you see, no matter how good the console version looks, the PC version could have and should have looked better. Because graphics are the only thing that matters, and prove that PC gaming is and always will be superior.

Well, Chromehounds had a persistent world and whatnot didn't it? I didn't get a Gold subscription (or decent internet) until 2007 when Halo 3 came out so although I bought Chromehounds I never tried the multiplayer or really got into the story - mainly because I wasn't good at it. I loved the idea but I barely

343 is 7^3, so it's a pretty obvious one.

Yeah, there was a surprising amount of outcry against their plans to remove the leaderboards and they wound up reversing that decision. Obviously enough people play it if they're going to keep support it even now. It's been out what, two years? That's a pretty good lifespan for any Xbox Live game that isn't Call of

Halo Wars had a decent story and awesome cinematics. It did poorly because RTS games are damned difficult on consoles. It only did as well as it did because of the Halo branding and the fact that it gave people early access to a map pack.

Chromehounds, if you think that counts... and I don't. Mechassault 2?

It's only disc-based titles that don't have room for colours. The Arcade titles abound with it.

When androids dream of electric sheep.

Here's the thing: Bad Company 2 was a good game. As a Modern Warfare 2 fanboy, I am prepared to admit that. But the Call of Duty name has pulling power, and Bad Company 2 had to go up against it. And it did well! Not as well as it could have, but it did well.

I wish to make it clear, without a trace of irony or doubt, that I think The Last Starfighter is the greatest god damn movie of all time.

It looks interesting, and I think the mashup of talents from PA and Minecraft will suit this type of game well. It's a shame that the Penny-Arcade game flopped (even as a fan of the first game I quickly lost interest in the second) but I want to see more games that will support their style.

I also respect that female and male characters can kick equal amounts of ass in Epic-made/influenced games, but I just know someone is going to take a dig at the game because Anya is a cliche bad-ass chick now.
