Another thing that isn’t often mentioned is that the race is starting at 10:00 PM local time, meaning that on the east coast the race will start at 1:00 AM! I don’t fly a lot in terms of flying for work, but at least 5 or 6 flights a year. I’m still surprised at how people think standing in the aisle with their bags waiting to get off before they even get the doors open helps anything.

Somehow, across six different boats and trailers I never managed to make sealed trailer lights a priority. Ridiculous. I always said “I’ll get them when these break” but somehow they never did before I ended up trading up/down a boat. 

Yup. And it’s easy to talk yourself into a bigger boat, which comes with even more work. Going to a 25 foot walk around cuddy fishing boat was a massive mistake which I still regret. Trailering it is a huge hassle. Launching/retrieving even more so. So then you pay to slip it. Which is expensive and comes with its own…
