Unlikely to find one in better shape than this. I am very curious what that thing tacked on to the dash is though.

I have no idea what it’s worth but I love it and want it. So, if I had a pile of imaginary money I’d be skipping on over to the left coast for what a road trip back to Albany, NY that would likely go as well as Jeremy Clarkson’s Lancia Beta did in Botswana. NP!

NP at half the asking. Wild ND at $20k. Spend a few grand more and you’d get an EV with more range brand new with a warranty. Or you can just buy a cheap Nissan Leaf every two years and get eight years of Leafage. I see them sell in the $3-5k range all day long.

40 year old checking in. I only keep it for Facebook Marketplace, because Marketplace completely destroyed Craigslist.

Yeah, these just don’t exist anymore in rust-prone states. Like you said, just turns to dust.

Easy NP. Easy to work on. Parts are dirt cheap. Will run forever as long as it doesn’t rust off into nothing like they do in the northeast. If it had 4wd I’d tell my family in California to pick it up for me and I’d send it to upstate NY.

I voted NP. I think the value is actually there, particularly for a collector or someone who will monetize it. But, like I said, the vast majority of people looking to go camping would be better served by a modern camper.

If you’re looking to start a vintage/hipster #vanlife account, this is probably a good way to guarantee eyeballs on your page. A great thing to show up to vintage flea markets to sell your collection of mid-century modern glassware. But otherwise, it’s way overpriced and you’d be far better served by a more modern

Yeah, I think it’s way more common than people even realize. But, that sucks!

Exactly. Apple sets the trend of stripping services, and other manufacturers see what people will put up with, and, if it works out for Apple. Then, they follow suit. I think a lot of automakers are watching what Tesla buyers will put up with in terms of over the air updates, subscription features, paid unlocks, and

Lol. Jesus. There is indeed a more accurator word. Subscription services. But hey, maybe if my wife gets a new car it will be able to handle my prescription services as well....

I spent the better part of my 16-25 year old life driving way too fast on empty country roads. Problem is, you never know if they’re actually empty. I’m really lucky that I didn’t hurt someone else. Or myself. Maybe I’m just getting old. But now, 50 on the backroad feels plenty fast.

Unfortunately, it will become the norm. Over the air updates are already becoming routine. Features locked behind paywalls will too. BMW is playing with prescription services pretty regularly, just not here in the States. Remember when Apple said they were ditching power bricks for the good of the environment (lol)

I’m right there with you. If you can afford a 50, 60, 80, or $110k car, you can afford to take it to a track day. And just think, if suddenly you couldn’t speed like you wanted, imagine how many more race tracks would open up! Didn’t the GTR have a feature that made it recognize if it was at a track and it would allow

So I think I started in... 2004...? I remember watching Kimi win his championships. And it was really exciting watching Vettel come into Toro Rosso and getting his insane maiden win in Italy. I was always a big fan of him, and I think the comparison to Hamilton’s dominance was always a bad argument. Vettel generally

Sadly seemed inevitable from the start.

Like Leclerc said, what the fuck. Watching the onboard footage, you couldn’t see that crane or the marshal until you were on top of them.

I did! Glad I didn’t have to suffer through a four hour race live, and so I skipped through most of the red flag break.

Wow that solid honeycomb pattern on the back bumper. Geesh. That’s brutal. Handsome everywhere else, but that rear bumper is a deal killer.

From being incredibly poor, wanting a car more than anything, and not having money to pay a mechanic to fix most things.
