Outstanding! What an awesome van!

Will definitely check it out! Your passion and joy easily comes through your writing. Not always an easy skill!

Hi. Can you write for Jalopnik? Like, maybe now?

Ha. I couldn’t believe it when my friend told me she had to take her Beetle in to the shop for a headlight replacement. I was like, psh, I can do that! No. No I could not.

Worst modern era?

The worst era of an already unreliable manufacturer. Had a friend with the same model/year, and I think it spent six months of the two years she owned it in the shop. ND, even if it was free.

I don’t want it, but the price isn’t too bad. It’ll probably sell for close to asking and then shortly after find itself upside down in a ditch somewhere.

I have never felt this way, mind you. I’m a generations long believer in the whole ‘first buyer loses 20% out the door’ thing. My current car, a ‘15 Forester, I bought in 2017 for $15k with 28k miles on it. It was a manual, and no one wanted it, and I saved something like $10k. But now the world is bonkers and upside

At the moment, there’s a pretty compelling argument for buying new across the board. Or at least up through cars in the $50k range. My wife is looking for a new SUV. You are frequently saving, at best, $3-4k off the price of a new car by buying a two-year old one with 20 to 40k miles on it. And now that cars are

Also hoping for a drama-free end to the season. I’m also getting real sick of hearing Ted endlessly try to bring up Abu Dhabi. And now he’ll be relentless...

That isn’t true. I’m sure that’s what will happen. But it isn’t true, and the Cost Cap Administration has a raft of available penalties for a minor breach, including

Oh, I’m referring to the (extremely) remote chance that the FIA will strip RBR of points from last year because they went over budget.

Hey, maybe it will end up his first championship again. Be fun to get two “first” championships!

So now MV will get a double asterisk next to his 2021 world championship win.

The red carbon fiber, the comments on how good the sound system sounds, the (albeit very tidy) Apple/Google integrated system, the trash and crap in the door insert pockets, the filthy floor and beat up floor mats, the undealt with scuff/scrape on the front bumper, no VIN in the listing, and the total lack of

This car has all the hallmarks of being owned by a person who cared about taking care of the wrong things on a car. When that car is a Toyota Camry, we can talk. When that car is a 100k mile, 4.4l v8, twin-turbo, BMW it’s a hard, hard pass.

The big problem for me is reconciling the FIAs constant push for budget restraint among F1 teams with the sprint races. They want more racing, they need to give them more powertrain allotments. They want more racing, they need to give them a bigger budget for crash repairs. It took three hours to get the actual

This is a rare car in fairly good shape. Take a look around and you’ll discover that either 1) you can’t even find another one for sale or, 2) what you do find for sale is $12k - $20k.
