Again, you're right. Tretton sells the product, and he's done a great job with the PS4. Nintendo PR could learn a thing or two, it maybe would improve the Wii U sales but, as you said, it's not the type of image Nintendo wants. I don't see Tretton showing up on the E3 toying with a little Pikmin doll on stage.

From what I read, he chose to cut his salary to demostrate he takes responsibility for the Wii U sales. IDK if employees would have been fired, have he chosen not to earn less money. So that's a maybe for me, but I think it's a good sign that the Nintendo management takes resposibility for their decisions.
