I didn't get that feeling at all. Playing on higher difficulties, most of the encounters (infected, raiders, etc) were tense as hell. Trying to manage resources, not waste, etc. I loved the way TLOU played.

I disagree. There are plenty of interactions that could be missed during the exploration parts, little snippets of banter and conversation that happen between the two when no action is going on. And not only that, like I said you lose connection to the world when watching it play out through someone else's movement…

You could find out the story by watching it on YouTube but it is not the same experience as playing through the game by yourself when it's all brand new to you.
