8 looks like a prime lemons candidate! Pulle a rad from a junkyard, replace the likely dead shocks and you’re at or under $500, then gut it, replace the fluids, give it new rotors, pads, and other assorted safety equipment and go racing!

I was honestly kind of expecting it, all it would have taken would have been a slight lift or get on the gas a bit wrong at the end to make the back end a bit squirly and Seb would have gone right on by ruining Ham’s day. Though, others are quite right, it would have landed Nico in serious hot water with the team.
I’m honestly loving these videos. Torch, you keep showing us these wonderful bits of strange and crappy things from automotive history, and I can’t thank you enough for it.
They looked far better before they went to that bizarre split headlight and LED swoosh thing.
I remember going to see a launch when I was young. A family friend was the pilot and it was his first mission, so it was even more exciting than it would have been otherwise....which would still have been pretty stinking exciting. One of the interesting things I remember was that it was already a decent ways up before…
Bah, I’d just rock that shit all the way to the airport....though at 4am it’s about 50:50 split on if I’d even notice or not, unless it kept me from opening the door of the car.
Neeeeeeerd!!!! :D
*shudder* Miracle Whip is fucking gross. I get that some people like it, but yeah that is anything but normal.
Welp.....that image is going to crop up in my nightmares now. I’m honestly not sure if Context would make this image more or less disturbing.
That was my first thought as well! About 10 seconds in, all I could think is, “damn this thing exudes cool and style on a level that reminds me of Cowboy Bebop!”. I’m going to be so sad if this doesn’t come on Crunchy Roll.
Damn that is a sexy silhouette!
The ND would be a better choice from the Miata family.
Eh, looks about right to me.
So in US measurements, you averaged 26mpg while towing a boat? That’s actually really good, and about the highest I’ve heard anyone around here quote getting on the highway without towing a load. I am a bit surprised that the 3 didn’t have a bigger difference since, as I have said, my wife’s 3 gets in the low 40’s…
It might help make people think twice before cutting you off in traffic :D Heck, it might even reduce your commute time due to people scrambling to get out of your way.
This goes double when it’s someone with a position higher than you, and you value continued employment.
Those results do NOT sound typical (I’m guessing you had a fairly light foot, and the driver of the 3 had one made of lead?). That said, I have nothing against folks liking, owning, and driving trucks and SUV’s. If that is what they want, and makes them happy, then great! Cars are too expensive to drive something you…
*sigh* there are people here who would buy one in a heartbeat.
A surprising number of people in my office alone, and if you suggest that perhaps they would get better mileage if they drove something smaller they usually respond with incredulity and bafflement as to why they would ever drive one of those “death traps”.
