ENHANCE!

Hell no, way too much power for a kid to learn in. I'd have no problems teaching my kids in the MINI I currently have, or something like that, but honestly, I'd much rather teach them in a beat up old farm truck like I learned in. That way, if they fuck it up, no one really cares, and it's cheap to fix.

Nope, they're still built in England. Greman designed, yes, but built in England with a French engine.

I was actually ok with the fiery death scenario in his case.

We all start somewhere.

So he can crash and suffer from fiery death in transit?

Hmm, how bout one that the evil geniuses at MiniTec (http://www.superfastminis.com/ ) have gotten their hands on? They come in 180 - 250 hp (depending on the Honda engine you choose) FWD or AWD versions.

No shit, probably 2 sets, one for the driver and another for the poor codriver.

True enough, but again, I'm more surprised that they sell them with the crap tires on them than the tires having that much of an effect. If stickier tires (still street tires, not R-Comps) can drop up to a second off of an autocross time, I expect for at least that much of a difference on a road course.

Um probably because, while light and fun as hell to toss around the track, they are slower than stink, unless they have had an engine swap of some sort to give them some power.

So throwing stickier tires on a car will make it faster around a track.....who'da thunk?

I'll take one of each.

I live in Houston, where winter is more or less just a rumor and we are able to drive on "summer" tires year round. Thus, this is a resounding YES without me even having to think about it much at all......summer would suck if stuck in traffic, but I'd gladly suffer through it in order to drive a Caterham everyday.

To be fair, it was a WRC prepped STi IIRC, it's been a long time since I've seen the show though so I could be wrong.

I dunno looks kinda like a panther chassis to me.

I can only imagine.

Monster Miata. Find a rolling chasis NA or NB miata for a couple grand, add 5.0 Ford V8, LSX, ect and you have what is basically a more modern interpretation of the original Cobra. And you can't say that a 450+ hp miata wouldn't be gobs of fun to drive.

Sure I would, but then I'm of the opinion that cars are made to be driven, not just locked away in a museum. I'd much rather see these thing getting driven or even raced than simply sitting there as someone garage queen. We venerate these machine for what they were built to do and the feelings they conjure up inside

Tallent mainly.

My commute is no more or less non existant (I live 4 blocks from the office), but before I had a 30-45min commute depending on traffic. In the mornings I listened to a talk program called Walton and Johnson. In the evenings I mainly just listened to music, sang along, and tried to resist the urge to kill some of the
