Mesh networks maybe equals Sonos type connecting of speakers? That would make my day.
The one in our local mall is closing (it was basically a cellphone store at this point anyway). Theyve been having a closeout sale for weeks now and finally closed their doors.
You have some good points there about 'cloud smarts'. But there has to be a way that the cloud can pop in and help, without having full control. Companionship, not dependency.
My pebble lets me use any standard watchband (which I LOVE about it). It actually makes me sad that I can't use my wristband style watchband with an Apple watch because the way it functions wouldn't connect properly, and even if it did, the fancy fitness backing on the watch would be against the strap and not my wrist.
We live in the mitten and like doing the same thing. The original post talks about hiking and finding a place to camp for the night. I wish we could just do that here in the states without getting into some sort of trouble with land owners.

I almost did it. Almost.

It's a bit slower when you pay your workers. Also, building a skyscraper that really REALLY needs to not fall next time its attacked takes a bit more internal work.
How can you take a modern day cost of $5.00 an ounce then adjust for inflation? That seems quite backwards.
