Well it’s pretty much entirely the GOP’s wheelhouse at this point. They’ve given up on trying to persuade voters, so they spent decades stacking the courts (and walling themselves in as legislators) in order to pass what they want without needing the support of the people.

Yeah, the Courts have approved cops forcing someone they’ve arrested to use their face or fingerprint to open their phone.  As cops are happy to delete evidence of their misdeeds from your phone, I wouldn’t rely on either face or fingerprint.
