I don’t understand why she didn’t just chalk it up as an L and move on. I’ve lost my phone(s) and just muttered, “Okay, dumb-ass, you lost another one. Find a Verizon store fast.” And the “Daddy” hat tells me that she likely has access to all the funds she needs.

My particular favorite part of this interview is when she decided that people leaving the hotel were the ones most likely to have been the ones who stole her phone; Gayle asks her if she was stopping everyone who was leaving; and she says, not everyone, just the ones.....and then she catches herself.

F*ck this entitled, poor little me bitch, whatever color she considers herself. She attacked that boy, end of story. She is clearly disturbed and needs help, but I hope she gets some jail time. It might help straighten her out. And what’s up with that hat?

Everyone believes they are a nice person, even when they are a raging asshole.  They grade themselves on a curve.

The mental math that went into her selecting a young Black man (who was with his dad, no less) is the epitome of how racism works in this country. Black=I can do whatever I want.

I can’t help but notice how she described herself as a 22 year old girl but calls a 14 year old boy a “guy”. Black children are often automatically aged up to make them appear more threatening and to give people an excuse to disrespect, harass and assault them. She also refers to them as “the son” and his father as

Since when is it not possible for a person who is Vietnamese or Puerto Rican to harbor animosity toward black people?

It matters that she could pass for white because WHITE WOMEN have a history of flexing their privilege

“Her paternal grandma is Vietnamese!” is not a magical shield for the consequences of her heinous behavior. Her lawyer needs to level up.

“emotionally unwell”

Yes, this! I also think that it’s totally relevant to bring up the topic of colorism here. Is she a minority? Yes. Is she closer to looking white than the teen she attacked? Yes. She automatically has the privilege here.

The interview itself was somewhat hilarious just due to how committed Ponsetta was in making herself look worse. My favorite part was when she explained that she just decided to ask people about their phones while the manager was looking through his data on the phone in order ‘to do her part to help’. Which, you know,

Wait, she says the dad slammed her to the ground and dragged her by her hair? That girl is definitely mentally unbalanced.

Yeah, I’m of mixed cultural descent too! I’m French, Italian, and Spanish!

Yes, Gardening! Or:

The only important thing this dude has in his life is Racism. Just look at him.

Why do these “superior”, racist white males always look so homeless and dirty?

Whatchu mean they don’t have hobbies... That was a whole cosplay convention that could compete with others in Kotaku. You know how much time it takes to look like something between Mad Max and Call of Duty? They had the spirit of Lion Heart. Bless their souless souls

Yeah.
