“His father wasn’t fully black”

I stopped being terrified a while ago, because mental health, and a distinct feeling that we will be nowhere near out of the bear shitting woods should we oust him 2020. He's unraveled so much good, and the Dems still have this pandering need to appeal to asshole swing voters. I'm concerned they'll take a win as an

I imagine that's exactly how Anita Hill felt being subjected to his disgusting antics.

This is good news to know, thank you.

💜 Sending supportive vibes your way because that sounds like it was a shitastic experience.

I'm lucky that I have a facility that fits my needs on an outpatient basis. But I have had to make clear that new meds will start at low dosages and will be monitored for ill affects before increasing. How many people would think to do that, without prior bad experiences? Seeking mental health is a proactive journey

My experience has been that the process of seeking mental help is daunting and discouraging. Do not dismiss doctors being a part of the problem where under medication is the issue, especially when the medical community has a built-in racial bias to treating black patients as potential addicts. Being depressed puts you

He needs to sit down somewhere and munch on his pubic hairs with a coke can chaser.

I wouldn't want to trade my experiences being black for anything.

One thing is for damned sure. It is an absolute luxury to not have to consider one’s self black. Because the experience of being black is for all intents and purposes inescapable. You are reminded everyday. It's not a wig you can try on for 24 hrs.

But, she benefits from biracial privilege, which is a thing. And the very fact she was chosen yet doesn’t see herself as black means a tickbox was checked off (faux diversity), which leads to a valid question: had she been phenotypically black, would she have been picked?

Thanks for describing this technique, will be asking my therapist about it (and praying insurance covers it).

I will be looking into this.

‘Aislinn Pulley is a lead organizer of Black Lives Matter Chicago and co-executive director of the Chicago Torture Justice Center founded out of the historic 2015 reparations ordinance for survivors of Chicago police torture.

You performed a true public service talking about responding to the (still grey) greys. And for that matter, many times AFTER they get ungreyed, because they wind up sucking up oxygen from worthier threads and getting bumped to the top.

Bless You, and everything that You do. Loved this article.

Tell it. I also was “But of course it was Oak Park” 🤦‍♀️

A hologram tour turns her into a workhorse in death as in life. I'll pass.
