I’ve heard those phrases all my life, and black girls get the brunt of being exposed to the ‘gold’ standard. And yet if their phenotype can’t conform, they get locked out. Meanwhile young black men are riding out their status for all it’s worth because why should they care if they’re a racial fetish if they can get ove

Oh, it’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of when.

This.

I’m so glad I never attended an all white suburban school though... Just thank you Jesus.

It seems her mom kind of set her up for this psychotic break. If she truly clung to the fiction that her white step dad was her biological one, then it explains a helluva lot (if you allow for the willfulness that comes with adolescence).

Her mom led her to believe her white stepfather was her biological one. In her mind, she’s been downgraded and she can’t reconcile her new reality with her old one.

I think her having attended a probably predominantly white school prior to moving more than likely has EVERYTHING to do with her acting out to a new environment.

A UK based antiracism in media advocacy group already tackled it.

All I know is I had the same ancient, well-honed viewing history (from needless hours of searching for soming NOT BAD to watch) and one New Year’s Eve with Katt Williams fucked it all up.

You have to triple up your moisture saving game. Seal up everything with body oil first before the lotion. Then rub Vaseline over the driest skin parts. And use a body scrubbing cloth in the shower to remove dead skin that causes the itching.

I don’t get people who towel off all the moisture either.
