I'm thinking of getting one as my next car. My question: should I?
Competition in my price range (due to emision taxes and so on, and lease-discount because electric): Renault Clio/Megane, Peugeot 308, Fiat Punto, stuff like that.
Would get the REx version for the occasional trip, but mostly drive 50 km drives.

Are you doing that BMW 2 day program sponsored by them? I have signed up for it 3x and each dealer locally in MetroDetroit show up as a sponsor but when you inquire about timing, local dealer says they are not participating. They won't sell me on one if I can't do the 2 day test.
