They were barred from saying anything negative about the Xbox One. How does that have nothing to do with positive reviews? They were paying for positive press. Maybe not reviews, but certainly for positive press. In any other form of journalism, that would be considered outright corruption. Your whole argument

This may not be new, but it is a big deal and this is something they wouldn't get away with if not for the fact that the phenomenon of YouTube reviewers is pretty new. Bribing reviewers for good reviews is not acceptable. People are just shocked because reviewers in any other medium would be in huge trouble for this

They maybe common, but an opinion should be labeled an opinion, and an ad should be labeled an ad.

It's also including the DLC that you haven't purchased and that isn't even out yet, along with the update/patch.

Well, I guess they won't be getting the money from Machinima... :)

This is why you don't buy consoles at launch. : ) I'll keep myself occupied with FFX:HD and Dark Souls 2 over here on my just dandy ol' PS3, TYVM!

The challenge of... not randomness?

I think this could be a great practice thing. A way to let you hone your skills and strategies repeatedly rather than just constantly going through a rotation and fumbling through.

but that just takes the challenge away

Are you really that naive?

You miss the "you may not say anything negative or disparaging about etc" part?

Not nearly enough. Hear that, Sony? SEND MORE MONEY.

While I can agree with this mostly. They do host Battlefield Friends, which is fucking hilarious.

Microsoft has made a mistake. Now that we know they are paying for preferential treatment on youtube, it will be hard to trust anything a youtube personality says that is positive about the system.

I'm not sure, with Machima's very recent issues between it's "influencers" getting shafted, why Microsoft thought this

I've been toying with the idea of selling my XBO since I finished Ryse and DR3.
This seals the deal. I'm done with the scumbag company.

That's... Disgusting! Seriously? How shady is that? MS could do with *good* publicity right now, and if this is the way they're going to go about it... Noooo chance of it backfiring at allllll!

Breaking news: Machinima still shit. More at 11.

Now playing

Kotaku. The Upworthy of gaming, well... sort of, and not in a good way. Seriously Kotaku? Zero tolerance to cultural humour?

I don't think either of those shows would be on the air if we pulled all of those episodes.
