You are probably right. I am always looking for better solutions so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. It doesn’t seem like he has anything useful to offer this conversation.

I seem to have offended your sensibilities... My consumer-line shit outperforms yours apparently, so take what you will from that.
I’m not saying a single solution will save you. I said explicitly that Webroot and Malwarebytes Pro is the best combination I’ve found which is two different pieces of software.
“They both suck ass too.”
I found Symantec to miss too many detections, and it was unreliable at updating definitions across the network. The version we had did not even have a management console so we were relying on end users to tell us when they were infected. Not sure if that has improves since.
I haven’t had to reimage an end user’s computer in 3 years since going with our current solution.
You have a really low bar set if you think Windows Defender is better just because it’s on by default. Norton does suck and would be pointless to choose and even detrimental to your computer performance, but if you read anything I wrote then you would know that I don’t use Norton.
Sounds like you are running Norton or Mcafee. Yeah they are terrible. Neither Webroot or Malwarebytes will cause noticeable slowdowns. Antivirus doesn’t have to suck. They also update automatically, so it literally zero drain on my time or resources.
I’m not going to go into it all right now, but I can tell you that compared to trying to find a single solution that provides all of the protection that this combination provides, this is about as robust as they come.
That is also an incredibly dangerous assumption. Windows defender is better than nothing, but by no means do they encourage users to rely solely on that for defense against viruses. 90% of users are barely computer literate, and wouldn’t even know what to do if they did get infected. They are the entire market for…
This is simply not true for most people. You are assuming that people will not click on the blatantly obvious fake ads or downloads for flash player which ends up being a virus. I’m a systems admin and deal with the removal of viruses constantly. To say that anyone can just forgo any antivirus solutions is ignorant.
I grew up in the church, and I can honestly say that it’s because you don’t know what coercive tactics are. I hope you can take some time to educate yourself and find a way out. The worst part about letting in the information is knowing that you have been willfully blind for so long. It’s a pride check.
Supposedly Apple will be rolling out new iPad models in March sometime. You may want to hold out for that since they lower the price point for the older models pretty significantly at that time.

Ah yes, it couldn’t be that some billionaires want to help the environment simply because they like being alive. It must be some kind of hoax that is totally benefiting them by pulling the wool over the public’s eyes. Pollution is actually really good for everyone.
I used to enjoy ESPN for SportsCenter and the camaraderie the on-screen talent had together, but the past decade has shown a steady decline in actual fun sports reporting and tried to stir up drama from off the field events.
Well yeah...that’s part of having an open market. If you don’t want an open market where you have to sift through mountains of shitty and dangerous apps then go Apple. There are downsides to both markets.
Well I mean, his username is godblessE39.
If I remember correctly, it was a shared wifi connection so he asked the reporters to stop using the wifi. Facetime demo I think.
You really don’t see how it would be fun to do a project like this? It would be stupid to do this thinking you are somehow going to mass produce and sell it, but as a hobby this is gold man.
The PS Vita was $299 for the 3G version. I would think this is going to give you a better return on investment for your entertainment buck.
