Wow you are such a delightful person, I can see why you are on her side.
It is not a failure in leadership by default. If I have 30 employees, I am not expected to have 15 men and 15 women. Instead, I am expected to have 30 men and women that are qualified to do the job. If I for some reason have 30 applications and 29 are male and 1 female, what do you expect me to do? I’m not going to go…
I’m actually surprised you don’t agree. She voiced her objection and it was heard. The person she was talking to apologized, said it would never happen again, and she kept going. She kept going, saying nothing was being done, but it had already been resolved. She was the one not being reasonable, and they gave her a 1…
I seriously can’t tell if this article is satire. The woman “Danielle” sounds like a complete narcissist who absolutely refuses to accept a sincere apology multiple times, climbs leaps and bounds above the chain of command to the CEO of the company, gets a month paid leave, and comes back expecting what exactly? Did…
I’m pretty sure she was meaning think of it as a step up within a generation, NOT that the power is equivalent to a 1060 or 1080.
“The hard drive is a whopping 1TB, and both the CPU and GPU have been upgraded”
Some people like the attention they got from Star Wars, but Ford definitely wasn’t one of them. I mean he definitely liked the boost to his career, but not the attention specifically by the fans of the film. I would suspect it’s because it was the start of the fanboy phenomenon and he didn’t know what he was signing…
Wow, I’ve been reading these comments and am blown away by the respectful tone and insightful commentary. I agree with everything you’ve said, but probably have less experience to back it up. Glad there are people like you that can put it out there the way it should be without being an asshole about it.
I agree. Very good presence, and it really seemed like he appreciated being there with a chance to do it all over again. I wish Harrison Ford brought that with episode 7. I have hope for Mark Hamill.
The plain truth of it is Microsoft needed to catch up to Sony, so it was worth it to them to push backwards compatibility on a game by game basis. They don’t have their entire library backwards compatible because it’s a HUGE pain to make their old games run smoothly while being emulated on a moderate step up from old…
I like McGregor, but he did not do well in the prequels. Neeson was passable-ish. McDiarmid was the only one that sold it, but I think that was because he had better writing. No bad romance scenes or forced condescension, just manipulation and jovial darkness.
Every single actor was terrible (palpatine was the best imo) in the prequels, how likely is it that the director is not at fault here?
I may not have made it clear. Of course it’s incompatible (hence the emulation), but the requirement for smooth emulation are likely beyond the PS4 hardware’s capability. For some games maybe, but not the end of life AAA games.
That’s debatable. Not all games run well with ESX (if that’s the emulator you are referring to), and not all PS2 games worked on PS3. They even ditched backwards compatibility very early on with the PS3.
So you think my reasoning is bunk and then use my same reasoning to say it’s too computationally expensive? I think we are both arguing the same thing here...I am not saying it’s impossible to emulate their cell architecture, but it wouldn’t run well on the PS4 and therefor not be worth it.
They cannot make PS4 backwards compatible because the architecture changed from their cell (PS3) towards x86 (PS4). The PS4 cannot even handle a PS3 game while emulating the PS3 architecture.
This is 1 day too late for me. This morning at 4:01am someone hacked my account and charged $30 for Neverwinter Nights gems, and I am not finding an effective way of disputing the charge.
Wooosh
I think this would be a good case to make for PC games being cheaper. You are basically paying less for participating in a public beta for the first month or so with a game of this scale with a small developer. The problem for me with this release was that it was $60 - the same as the console instead of $40-$50.
