I love this game too. It was far from my first game, since I got into gaming in the late ‘80s. While the main campaign does have a weak story, what made it fun is I played this local coop over my home LAN. We roleplayed the entire time over the text chat box in-game, even though we sat in the same room. We ended up

Uh... She doesn’t look like a girl nerd or a girl techie to me. She looks like a hipster. She needs to go sit in a coffee shop and be judging people on listening to mainstream music.

How many people go to E3 now? I went to Tokyo Game Show (open to the public) a few years ago. TGS has ~270,000 people attending it nowadays. But there was more room to walk around at TGS than I see in that headline picture. That’s horrifying.

Now that’s terrifying.

They don’t. The Japanese do shake hands, because they learned that from Westerners. But that’s pretty much it. You won’t even see couples hug or kiss in public. Public displays of affection aren’t bad in the sense that it’s not illegal and you won’t get in trouble with it. Most likely no one will say anything either.

I don’t know if Richard will get to your question or not (hopefully!), but I lived in Japan for 3 years (just left in September of last year). Even though I’m American and grew up in America, I feel like in some ways I’m still experiencing reverse culture shock after that 3 years. Here’s my perspective:

:(

You know, this story really isn’t any different from the story that came out yesterday about the high school girl who was put in a pray away the gay camp by her parents. Sure, the Christian Texans didn’t murder their daughter, but that’s just because that’s not acceptable in American society. Instead they show that

I don’t have a problem with spiders myself.

The combination of not much of a substantial story (originally Famicom-era FF problem) plus that horrible gameplay makes this game easily the worst. The gameplay may have been more fun at the time, but it has aged really poorly.

Spin-off, yes. But not a real FF? It’s always been called Final Fantasy. Even in Japan it was.

I was surprised for the Xbox 360 at first. As a fellow Japanese 360 owner, I thought it was seen as mostly an Idolm@ster and Cave shooter machine. But then I remember how niche SHMUPs are seen so... yeah, I suppose western games being mentioned but not a single Cave game brought up makes sense.

Uh... shouldn’t the method of payment be an indicator if nothing else? The government doesn’t accept wires or iTunes gift cards for payment. Checks payable to US Treasury is more of what the government would ACTUALLY ask for.

Ugh, that hat on the girl character. Ever since they started having male/female options for the player character, I’ve always picked the girl. But I think that hat is going to make me pick the boy this time. It either looks like a rubber glove or a sideways rooster comb.

10 years? My husband has been looking for a new job, and all of these tech companies are pretty much telling him that if he actually stays for a whole year, he will be seen as an “old timer” by that point. I don’t know if that’s a tech company specific thing, but the amount of years people are willing to stay at a

I feel like the university should tell these fraternities that went that their fraternity activities are suspended until they go back and clean up and apologize to the park rangers. If the park rangers have already cleaned it up, then they should still have to go back and perform community service by cleaning up the

This is obvious. The Japanese don’t buy video game consoles the way they used to anymore. If you’re lucky, maybe they have a 3DS. But so many people in Japan confine their gaming to mobile.

I agree with Tabata, and I’m a long time fan of the series. The FF series has always been one that reinvents itself with every new iteration. That’s why I’ve never gotten the complaints about how x thing in FFXV makes it bad, or not an FF game. An all male party doesn’t make it not an FF game. A car doesn’t make it

The cosplay itself is good, but the photos are so Photoshopped it’s making them look not quite real, like they’re turning into actual video game characters.

I don’t know whether Stuck in the Middle should date Ruby or not, but he NEEDS to get out of the relationship with Lily. Too many bad signs, and it reminds me of a bad relationship I was in once. It wasn’t long distance, but the relationship started out with him acting similar to Lily. It ended up evolving to him
