Or you can do that the other way around. When I moved Maryland -> Hawaii, Hawaii gave me a pro-rated registration rate on my car. Considering I'd had to re-up my Maryland registration less than 6 months prior to moving, it was pretty nice.

The original Resident Evil is an example of a great remake, when they remade it from the ground up for the Gamecube version. I would buy a FFVII remake if it was that quality of good.
You know what sucks? On the Japanese side of ordering, it's not a pre-order. It's a lottery. For those not familiar with the concept of Japanese lottery buying, it means your name is essentially thrown in a hat and then they'll choose who gets the luxury of buying it. The lottery system is one of the most obnoxious…
It sucks, but I don't blame them. People taking photos can be pretty rude. I'm into Volks' dolls (mostly the anime-like Dollfie Dream) and my fellow Dollfie Dream fans can be rude with the cameras. Two Saturdays ago, the new Volks Hobby Tengoku building opened up in Akihabara. Volks had new, not yet released dolls set…
My parents had one of those really old CRTs that was practically a piece of furniture, with the built-around it wood paneling and the knobs and all that when I was growing up. I think the one upside of it is the top part was a great place to sit knick-knacks for decoration.
The only thing I find disappointing about that game is some of the characters I'd want to play as are only supports. I want to be Kuroneko. I want to be Holo. I want to be Leafa. :(
Hey, they have the Oculus Rift. That's cool. I've tried Sony's Oculus Rift wanna be things. Sony's thing didn't fit on my head very well and so I could see the outside world on all edges around the screen inside. It took away from the experience. It was like watching a movie while wearing (again) the ill-fitting 3D…
!
The question is, when you got engaged and tied the knot, would you say you were head-over-heels about your significant other?
I know somebody who got divorced in less than a year at a young age - a co-worker. She married her high school sweetheart not too long after high school graduation. She decided to join the Air Force. Due to his job, he decided not to go with her when she got stationed overseas. He cheated on her within the first 2…
I didn't know that either. Personally, I think we need to stop with the employer paying less than minimum wage and then the person has to hope for tips nonsense with certain jobs. Choosing to give someone a tip because they did a great job for you? Awesome. I encourage that. Go right ahead. Being socially forced to…
I doubt it. Judging by how well the No Game No Life novels and manga and goods seem to sell here in Japan, I think a second season is pretty much a given. They're probably either waiting for more material to be finished or something. Anime isn't always given consecutive seasons. There was a year and a half break…
I know it's going to depend on how long it takes you to figure out puzzles and the other objectives. But how long does this game take to beat? Considering buying a (Japanese) Wii U fairly soon. It's partly because I've always wanted to play the Fatal Frame series. Platformers and their short time to beat always makes…
Thanks for the update. It got to be so long that I stopped reading and paying attention. Also didn't like how it felt like it wasn't really going anywhere.
I was expecting to see Ah My Goddess mentioned here. That's changed pretty drastically. I have to give a link instead of directly inserting the pic, since the pic is so large. The series has been going since the late '80s and is still going, so it's not really surprising.
That supposed Doritos flavored Mountain Dew sounds horrible. That's something Japan doesn't have.
I bought Coca-Cola Orange on Saturday. I thought it would taste like Coca-Cola + Orange Fanta. It did not. It tasted like simultaneously drinking a regular Coca-Cola and biting into a mikan orange. I know that sounds weird, but it was actually really good. You should try it, Bashcraft.
So if the Japanese definition of idol is someone you are supposed to look up to and want to be like... is this cat saying we should all eat the news and interrupt people talking about serious topics?
^ I don't think it's expensive to eat out in Japan. It's hard to eat out in the US at some place that isn't fast food and get a meal for less than $10 nowadays. I find it very easy to eat out for less than 1,000 yen in Japan. Especially because 1) no tipping and 2) it's easy to get free drinks (typically water or…
I was going to say it sounded really delicious... but then I saw cranberries were part of it. I hate cranberries.
