Stomach medicine isn't a problem. It's largely medicine that has stimulants in it. Most specifically, pseudophedrine. Pseudophedrine can be found in Claritin-D, Sudafed, etc. It's completely illegal in Japan to have it. And thus I feel like I'm going to die whenever my allergies kick in since I'm living in Japan

But anyone with a cat isn't going to get to see the anime girl picture on top of the vacuum very much. It'll be more like your cat suddenly acquires an anime girl voice.

A lot of '90s era animation hasn't really aged well, TBH. It doesn't bother me, but I find it hard to actually get people to sit down and watch any '90s anime recommendations because "it looks too old". If you get a show like Saber Marionette J, with the REALLY huge eyes and kinda strange shaped heads, it's even worse.

I'm really curious if this release will make people give FFX-2 another shot. Yes, the game is ridiculously cheesy and goofy. But *that's the point*. Ignore the stupid pop song, move on, and give it a try. You might like it.

I didn't think GDC was that overwhelming the year I went (2008). But I've been to the large anime conventions. Those are overwhelming, because the schedulers have a habit of scheduling 3 things that sound interesting to you at the same time in different rooms. I didn't have that problem as much at GDC. It felt way

I'm not sure. I'm not a developer. I'm just a gamer. One year the place I work offered to send me somewhere for "self-development". I put in the paperwork for GDC, and, to my surprise, they approved it. I got a 100% comp'ed trip to GDC. It was amazing to me. I got to meet Masahiro Sakurai. I got to meet Nintendo's

I don't even know why people worry about death. It happens. It's inevitable. So just enjoy your life while you can. I'm only 30 so maybe my perceptions will change when I get older, but I'm not worried about it.

The last big gaming funk I had was during most of the PS2-era. No games I played would fix it. So I stopped playing games for a few years. I picked gaming up again when I bought an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and I haven't been in a gaming funk again since. So yeah... sometimes giving up gaming for a while helps a lot. I've

I agree with this post. The Wii is the only game console that I've regretted the purchase of. I bought into the hype hard. I was one of those people who lined up early on release day and bought it then. Normally I don't do this. I wait a year or more after release usually so there's several games minimum that I want

I used to play FFVI once a year. I don't have family that it reminds me of or anything like that, it's just a game I love and it would remind me of simpler times. I now only do this once every few years or so, mainly because being an adult keeps me so busy that I feel like I can't afford the time for once a year

I worked at McDonalds back in the early 2000s for a summer. People wouldn't mess up the food for weird orders. It just slows things down, which can be annoying.

This commercial reminds me so much of the lyrics to this song. For those who don't know Japanese, basically they're telling Papa that they love him at the same time they're begging him for money.

I don't care for Lotteria's burgers. Only ate there once. I prefer MOS Burger if we're talking Japan originated burger joints. But doesn't Lotteria do take out, like a lot of Japanese fast food places? Then it doesn't matter if you can't eat it all at once. May as well get the 10 patty version. Leftovers!

The key to all of this is to marry a finance nerd that LIKES reading tax codes. I don't have to do anything. He handles it all for us. ;)

I think the real issue with the internet in the US is the fact that the ISPs aren't willing to spend the money for infrastructure upgrades, and when they do attempt it (ie Verizon FIOS), they make the consumer pay an unreasonable premium.

My parents didn't give us an allowance as kids. We had to do chores, but that was just expected to do without an allowance. The only time we got money was as a reward for doing well on report cards (all As got you money, all As except 1 B got you some money but less than all As, anything else got nothing) and from

I agree on the bottled water thing. The US for the most part has good tap water. When I lived in Maryland, I didn't have an issue with the tap water. When I lived in Hawaii, I used a Brita filter for the tap water because it seemed to help with the taste. Hawaii's tap water tasted slightly salt water-ish to me.

Oh, and I didn't mention lunch bags because I just put my lunch containers/bags directly into the backpack I carry to work. If my backpack gets dirty from an accidental food spill it's the type that you can wash it in the washing machine on gentle cycle and then let it hang up to dry.

You know what I should get to save myself money? Those sandwich sized Tupperware-type containers. I pack myself lunch for work to save money (I used to buy lunch everyday - the money I save each year now is HUGE) and I use sandwich size ziplock bags when I pack a sandwich. I live in Japan so it's not at all an
