I think it would be great in some kind of homebuilt aircraft; displacement and air-cooled... mmmmm. Of course, it would need a new light-weight custom domed pistons, some kind of reduction pulley, etc, etc...

E-type always trumps Citroen. I've known a few people to go through and restore E-types and that is its own special type of hell.

Needs less R8.

@racerx: The 1st gen RS6 was auto only (at least US-spec; and you could only get the sedan here.) Not sure about Euro spec.

Wow. It certainly makes my 2003 Allroad look outdated.

I like the side-pipes on the MGB. I think with the TLC required it would be slick and not that painful of a project.

The Volvo w/ the smallblock swap is the hell of choice. Getting that kind of thing dialed-in is its own special annoying hell. Go with an LS1 for extra style points and the headache of finding someone to hack on the ECU to make the immobilizer and smog programming go away.

I'm going for the Cordoba because nothing beats rich corinthian leather. The later Lincoln Mark VIIIIs were some bitchin' platforms

I went with the 911 as it's "flip" value is higher than the VW. With some elbow grease you can make the cash to buy the Merak from yesterday... that and it's local to me.

YES YES YES YES.

Scimtar... the whole shooting brake thing.

I loved the movie but have to question "Why?" I guess it has something to do with the $$$$

I see more E-type than S-type especially in the side-view and rear-quarters. I'm surprised more people haven't said that.

Now this is a difficult choice. I'm still agonizing over this. Given I have the whole "wife" factor involved with any kind of purchase I'm forced to go with the bus. She once followed Phish around and has some treehugger-hippie roots and has always had a thing for the Bus. The VW it is.

I see a potential garage nomination.

There seems to be a CLS or S-class parked along the road, in front of the house, too.

After my wife and I eloped we raced back to Indy in my '00 'vette. I had the oddball, pre-Z06 FRC.

I wonder what the torque steer is like?

Mmmmm. Fantastic.
