Every expansion has a 10-day trial of it. You can't get any levels, I think, but you really only need to be level 5 and have 100g (80g if exalted with the faction) to get the feature.

Get a friend to send you a scroll of resurrection if you've been away for a while (since... march something of this year), or give the 10 day expansion trial a shot. The feature alone is worth it (and what I spent the launch of the game last night doing for 2 hours to let the Pandaria zones calm down a little).

I'll be honest with you. I was a pet collector ages before they announced this feature.

While both WoW and GW2 are both fantastic games, neither should play or even act like the other.

I'm gonna be out at midnight (east coast) picking up my copy of the Collector's Edition from one of my local stores. I'm so very excited for this expansion, regardless of what all the haters say. Everything looks amazing, and I didn't really have any complaints from when I spent some time messing around in the beta.

Well, they are working on new character models for the old races (thank god). But I don't see what you mean by washed out. I still hope some company somewhere picks this game up one day and lets it see the light of day. Something this beautiful doesn't deserve to stay dead and unfinished.
