But I do think that fairly often, the person declaring their hatred for country music is less concerned with the actual music and more eager to distance themselves from the cultural markers traditionally associated with country fans - rural life, socially conservative politics, support for the NRA, etc.

I was wondering the same thing. The story says she bought and banked sperm, but he called two days before her insemination telling her she could use his. At that point I would be like, "Uh, thanks but no thanks." Especially considering the timing.
