There was a rather sad article recently (it was linked from something on here) documenting how electronic dance music has gone mainstream, from its underground predominately gay and black/Latinx roots -- and somehow become increasingly straight and white in the process. So this is neither shocking nor surprising.

My cursory Google search turned up “Fancy Bears” in English as the actual name of the gang. Not even “Фэнси Берс.” It doesn’t surprise me, given the way many other countries appropriate often extremely random English words, especially in young people’s slang, advertising, etc. because knowing at least “some” English…
